The grocery store is filled with all sorts of goodies. Well, really, it’s filled with everything and anything you want! Going to the grocery store hungry sets you up for not only an expensive grocery bill but a cart full of crap that looked good in the heat of hunger. If you’re hungry you’re bound to pick up items you don’t need and don’t really want in your house. And the truth of it is, even if you pick up those items that you think you’ll save for ‘later’, later will be in the car on the way home – because your ravenous. If you have no choice but to go to the grocery store right before dinner (say on your way home form work) might I suggest your first stop be the deli counter. CLICK HERE to read why. A high protein snack will help settle cravings and hunger as you shop. If you snack on that box of crackers you put in your cart because they looked good, the carbohydrates will  spike your insulin leaving you hungry and craving even more. Although the slice of cheese or turkey may not sound as delicious as SunChips. Trust me, it’s what you need.
