New Twist On Salad

I love having a granny smith apple with a slice of fresh Parmesan cheese as a snack. I don’t know why but it feels like a delicacy to me. The mix of the salty cheese and the sweet crisp apple makes me my taste buds think that I’m indulging and yet it’s such a healthy snack! And for some reason, with each bite I imagine myself in France. (Maybe because I read about it in French Women Don’t Get Fat)
Anyway, I’m obsessed with this at the moment so I’m trying to incorporate this yummy flavor combo into anything I eat. Recently I was asked to bring a salad to someones house for dinner and guess what I brought…
1. Romaine Lettuce heads, diced
2. 1 Ganny Smith Apple, sliced
3. Freshly grated Parmesan cheese
4. Toasted walnuts
I mixed this with my Standard Balsamic Dressing.
It was delicious! I could have eaten just this as my meal! Maybe I’ll have it for lunch tomorrow with a side vegetable soup!
