This list is not exclusive. Combined with a healthy diet, foods that carry soluble fiber or have omega 3 fatty acids in them will help lower your cholesterol levels.

*Just adding these foods into an unhealthy diet is no going to automatically drop your cholesterol levels. You need to combine these food with other healthy choices. And of course, anything outside of moderation is too much. Just because olive oil is good for your cholesterol does not mean you should add a 1/4 cup of it to your meals.

    Is there a program that you use or could recommend to calculate the nutritional information on things you make? Also, is there a reason why is it uncommon to find sugar stats mentioned when people supply nutritional information?

    In terms of sugar- I'm not sure why. I don't put it when I post simply because it is not one of the nutritional labels that majority of people as so interested in. I try to keep it as simple as I can. But most food labels you buy at the store should provide you with the amount of sugar per serving.

    I am now eating all these things because of my hereditary high cholesterol. I am also taking red rice yeast extract with CoQ10…I will let you know how it goes!
