Much like the other antioxidants I have talked about ( Vitamin C, A and Selenium) Vitamin E helps protect our bodies from free radicals that can contribute to the development of cardiovascular disease and cancer.

Vitamin E also:
  • Helps keep your immune system strong.
  • Aids in DNA repair.
  • Important vitamin for your metabolic process.
  • Recent studies suggest Vitamin E may help protect against: Altitude Sickness, Menstrual Cramps, Diabetes, Parkinson’s Disease, and Hepatitis C inflammation.

Where can you get Vitamin E ?
Vegetable oils including olive oil, nuts and seeds, dark green leafy vegetables, peanuts and peanut butter and fortified cereals.
Daily Recommended Intake (DRI) of Vitamin E:
  • Men and women 14 years and older: 15 mg
  • Because of it’s role in DNA repair, pregnant women should get 19mg.
