I love when I find exercises that mimic something we did as kids, like jump rope, that can make us stronger now!

Medicine Ball Throw
1. Grab a weighted medicine ball.
*If you don’t have a weighted one, a soccer ball or one of your kids toy balls will be just fine.
*The weighted ball adds more of a challenge, but one you can work up to.
2. Stand in neutral, feet hip distance apart knees over your second and third toe.
3. Throw the Ball in the air.
4. Catch it
Repeat as many times as you can. Go big! Try for 50!
*When you catch the ball, your instinct is to tighten your core musculature in order to stabilize your body. You’ll also get a great upper body work out using your back, shoulders and arms! And you’ll get a great leg work out as you’ll find that you instinctual come into a little squat when catching the ball.
Have Fun!!!!
If you have kids, this is a great exercise to take outside with them and include them in your workout!
