My Two Cents

There is something to be said about feeling good. I honestly think that when you dedicate a bit of time to yourself and exercise FOR yourself, you start to feel better about yourself. Yes, there’s the whole burning calories part of it, but I also think there is a huge sense of accomplishment that comes with it, as well as a sense of feeling stronger.

For me, when I work out, it’s ‘me’ time. It’s time I take to focus on myself instead of trying to be in a million places at once. It ‘s the one time in the day I am in one place. I can clear my head or mull over my lists- either way, I am 100%  present and definitely feeling that I’m in my own body – working hard. And, after a good workout and a healthy meal – I feel like I’m investing time in myself. I immediately feel better about myself. I hold my head up higher, I put on the jeans I keep at the back of the closet, I put makeup on my face and I do my hair- because I feel good.
  • Working out and eating healthy has so many benefits! But the most immediate one I think is how you feel in your own skin. I truly think the BEST way to boost confidence and self esteem is to take some time for yourself and work up a sweat! Cap it off with a nice piece of salmon and a salad!
