A while back I posted about good form on the Elliptical machine. I wanted to follow up with a little video. The first one is proper form. Notice how the movement is in my legs and not my upper body. Have a look at my feet – they are pressing down through the balls of my feet and then following through by pressing down with my heels. I am using my whole foot and keeping my weight behind me. Also notice that I’m in a bit of a squat the whole time!

Now have a look at me on the Elliptical without proper form. My weight is forward an I’m leaning into the handle bars (this puts a lot of stress on your knees). Also have a look at the way I am pushing down the pedals and shifting all my body weight to one side with each push as opposed to gliding the peddle forward like I did in the first video.

Let me know how you feel on the Elliptical with proper form! It’s a whole different workout!!!
