Ways you can sneak in your exercise!

  1. When grocery shopping, take your bags into the house one at a time!
  2. Use a basket instead of a cart at the grocery store.
  3. Take the stairs even though there is an elevator or escalator! In fact, if you live in a building take the stairs everyday! You’ll be amazing at the results you’ll see! It will help you burn calories and lose as well as build leg strength!
  4. Do the Flamingo! Tie your shoes standing on one leg instead of sitting on the ground.
  5. Get off the bus or subway a few stops early.
  6. Bike, roller-bade or walk to work.
  7. Rearrange your furniture. Fun, creative, and good exercise!
  8. Transit Surf! Stand on the subway or bus – don’t sit. The little old ladies will thank you and so will your abs as you try to stabilize the twists, turns and bumps.
  9. Squat down into your office chair 5 times every hour!
  10. Make a Deal. Before lunch commit to going for a daily 10 minute walk to stretch your legs!
  11. Walk your dog for-pete’s-sake! Or at least offer to walk a friends dog once a week!
  12. Buy a hula-hoop, throw on some music after work and pretend like your six again!

Speaking of everyday exercise, I got mine in today! 15622 Steps. I made sure I walked today so I would feel no guilt when I wrote this post.
