12 Ways To Sneak in Everyday Exercise

- When grocery shopping, take your bags into the house one at a time!
- Use a basket instead of a cart at the grocery store.
- Take the stairs even though there is an elevator or escalator! In fact, if you live in a building take the stairs everyday! You’ll be amazing at the results you’ll see! It will help you burn calories and lose as well as build leg strength!
- Do the Flamingo! Tie your shoes standing on one leg instead of sitting on the ground.
- Get off the bus or subway a few stops early.
- Bike, roller-bade or walk to work.
- Rearrange your furniture. Fun, creative, and good exercise!
- Transit Surf! Stand on the subway or bus – don’t sit. The little old ladies will thank you and so will your abs as you try to stabilize the twists, turns and bumps.
- Squat down into your office chair 5 times every hour!
- Make a Deal. Before lunch commit to going for a daily 10 minute walk to stretch your legs!
- Walk your dog for-pete’s-sake! Or at least offer to walk a friends dog once a week!
- Buy a hula-hoop, throw on some music after work and pretend like your six again!
Speaking of everyday exercise, I got mine in today! 15622 Steps. I made sure I walked today so I would feel no guilt when I wrote this post.
