Fighting Off a Cold With Fresh Air

I got hit with a horrible cold at the end of last week. I can’t remember the last time I even had a cold, and this one felt like it took all my energy and dumped it into the garbage can down the street. Everything ached and all I wanted to do was crawl back under the covers and sleep it off. Which I did do. But I also MADE myself get outside. I got into the shower and I actually didn’t think I was ever going to get out. And then I broke out into a mad sweat just trying to get dressed. But I still managed to force myself into the great outdoors and go for a walk. Once I got outside, it was the best I had felt all day. The fresh air really lifted my spirits and getting my blood flowing (even for 15 minutes) helped with my energy levels. I think if you sit and sulk all day about being sick you will never feel better, but if you manage to get off you butt and move ( even for 15 minutes) you can convince yourself you’re actually getting better, and then magically you do!
