I just came back from dinner with team sugar-free and everyone is pretty pumped as we go into our final week! Everyone looks fantastic – we were all chatting about all the changes we are seeing in our skin, our sleep, our moods and our stress levels. It’s amazing when you really start to realize that what you put into your body, your body gives back. You put crap in there- you feel like crap. You put good, whole foods in there your body says thanks! And although the goal of the cleanse was not primarily to lose weight, some weight was shed and I think everyone is feeling a little lighter, footloose and ready to shop! Not to mention my one cleanse-homie went the entire week without taking medicine for acid reflux! But we all agreed, the beginning of week three was the toughest one yet. I don’t know why! I thought for sure I would see the finish line and stay strong. It got way easier Wednesday but my first couple of days were hairy. Here was my week!

Day 1: Oh brother. Carbohydrates. I want me some good old carbohydrates. Like bread and bread and bread. I can eat two slices of sprouted grain bread and up to this point, I have not even had to have my two slices everyday – but today, I ate both and I wanted more!
Day 2: I don’t crave coffee anymore, at all. I don’t even miss it in the morning. But today, mid afternoon I just thought “How nice would it be to have a coffee right now!”
Day 3: My skin has never been clearer. Over the holidays, I had such bad breakouts. The sugar is gone and my skin is now clear!
Day 4: I feel so well rested. I’m sleeping through the night and I wake up feeling refreshed – and I’m waking up earlier then I ever have.
Day 5: I haven’t mentioned this yet, but I’ve been feeling it for a while- there is a quiet in my brain when it comes to food. Almost a calmness. Weird, I know – but if you’re someone who thinks a lot about what your going to eat and if it’s a good or a bad choice and then stresses after you’ve eaten it – this shuts all those little voices off.
Day 6 : The weekend is always challenging just because you’re around so many tempting things. It’s not that I crave them, but whose mouth doesn’t water when a fresh slice of Pizza walks by?!
Day 7: I’m starting to really feel like I don’t need to add anything into my diet. I almost feel like I’m not on the cleanse anymore. It’s just the way I eat.  I don’t miss anything per say and my cravings are becoming non existent. Sure, I look forward to a glass of red wine, or that slice of pizza- but I know it’s something I’ll have once in a while.
