Cinnamon Toast Crunch

At the grocery store today. I needed Cereal ( I really like Weetabix) so down the cereal isle I went. Low and behold… Cinnamon Toast Crunch was on sale! This is no joke. 2 for 4$. What a steal!! Now, I don’t eat Cinnamon Toast Crunch, I mean I did as a kid but if I ate the stuff now I would turn into a monster. The box would last maybe 3 or 4 days in my house. But it is on sale: ” If I get it now, then when I want it, I’ll have it in the house. I’ll just keep it in the cupboard for when a craving comes…for later“. And then I got my brain back (thank goodness, cause I don’t always get my brain back when it comes to sweets). If I’m going to buy it, then really, honestly, I’m buying it to eat it – not so it can collect dust on my shelf for when I feel like it. I’ll feel like it as soon as I get home! And do I really want to eat a whole box of Cinnamon Toast Crunch? No. I mean, yes I do, but my thighs sure don’t want me to. So- I walked away. ( Not easy to do, and it doesn’t always happen this way.) But I did remind myself that on “the day” that I am really craving Cinnamon Toast Crunch, I can go back to the store and buy myself a kids size single serving of it. Bring it home and enjoy it. Buying something just to have in the house in case of sweet or salty tooth emergency tests willpower unnecessarily in my opinion. And my willpower gets tested enough, thank you very much! Why willingly put myself in the line of fire? When that emergency does hit, I’ll buy myself the treat I really, really want. And of course, I’ll enjoy it
